A Director of Professional Services at Praecipio Consulting will lead a team in delivering consulting, education, and implementation services for Atlassian products. This role involves managing a team, overseeing project delivery, ensuring financial goals are met, and driving operational success metrics. The director will also play a key role in presales, scoping, and client relationship management.

What Youll Do

Team Leadership & Mentorship

  • Manage, mentor, and coach a team of professional services staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Provide regular feedback, support career development plans, and conduct performance reviews to ensure the teams success.
    • Project & Service Delivery

      • Oversee the endtoend delivery of consulting, education, and implementation projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
      • Act as a point of escalation for complex technical matters, guiding the team to successful resolution.
        • Financial & Operational Management

          • Manage and achieve key financial metrics, including bookings, revenue, gross margin, and team utilization.
          • Drive operational excellence by implementing and refining processes for service delivery tracking, reporting, and resource allocation.
            • Client & Stakeholder Relationships

              • Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and ensuring exceptional client satisfaction.
              • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including Sales, Success, Support, Product, and Marketing, to create seamless internal workflows and a cohesive client experience.
                • Strategic Planning & Growth

                  • Contribute to the strategic vision and evolution of the professional services practice by developing and implementing new strategies and initiatives.
                  • Partner with the sales team on presales activities, including scoping, solution design, and presenting to potential clients to help close new business.
                    • Requirements

                      Qualifications

                      • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a leadership role, with a proven track record of mentoring and managing a team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
                      • Deep technical expertise in the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Jira Service Management) and related technologies.
                      • Demonstrated experience with project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall, and a strong understanding of project management tools.
                      • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport and effectively communicate with clients and crossfunctional internal teams.
                      • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities to navigate complex challenges and resolve issues effectively.
                      • Solid business acumen, including a clear understanding of financial management, key performance indicators (KPIs), and operational metrics.
                      • A strong dedication to client satisfaction, with a history of building and maintaining strong client relationships.
                      • Proven adaptability in a fastpaced environment, with the ability to respond to changing client needs and project requirements.
                        • Preferred Qualifications

                          • Atlassian Certified Professional (ACP) certifications.
                          • Experience with scripting languages (Groovy, Python) and REST APIs.
                          • Background in system integration and thirdparty tool connectors.
                          • Experience with Kubernetes, AWS, or other cloud technologies.
                          • Knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques.
