REALTIME is on the lookout for an experienced Environment TD for a very unique project that bridges the gap between our Games and Automotive teams on a freelance basis.
The role is best suited for someone who has great artistic ability and technical knowledge in order to develop Houdini tools that fit seamlessly into the Houdini pipeline. The candidate will have to be handson in creating a photorealistic environment as well problemsolving workflows for the rest of the environment team.
You will work alongside our Supervisors and Department Heads to identify the methodology and requirements needed to achieve the desired look for the project, as well as help guide the team at a creative and technical level.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Producing highquality assets suitable for production both technically and artistically
• Supporting a team of artists with any technical problemsolving and tool creation
• Technical and quality control of output on assigned project
• Ensuring assets meet specifications provided by all relevant departments
• Managing feedback and technical challenges on the project alongside the CG Supervisor and Department Heads
• Working closely with the Department Head to identify process improvementstools to increase department productivity
REQUIREMENTS
• Accomplished examples of Modelling, Texturing, and Shading
• Thorough knowledge of Houdini is essential
• Previous experience of working in a USD workflow.
• Generalist knowledge of other asset creation software etc Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter.
• Knowledge of Python, and VEX is essential
• Knowledge of Speedtree, World Machine, Gaea, etc is desirable
• Basic understanding of Lighting and Look Development
• Good communication skills and ability to work interactively with production and other departments to solve production challenges
• Ability to feedback to other departments and direct any technical changes
