Job Title: Garment Merchandiser
Job Type: Fulltime Permanent Role
Timing: 9 to 6 Day shift
Location: Gurugram, Delhi

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and detailoriented Garment Merchandise Handler to join our team.
The Merchandise Handler will be responsible for evaluating samples, assessing garment quality, and determining the costs of materials.
This position requires a strong understanding of textiles, garment construction, and pricing strategies.
The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a solid background in garment merchandising.

Responsibilities:Receive and inspect garment samples, assessing their quality and adherence to specifications.
Evaluate fabric quality, color consistency, stitching, and overall craftsmanship.
Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to negotiate pricing and terms for materials.
Analyze material costs, including fabric, trims, and accessories, and provide accurate cost estimates.
Conduct market research to stay updated on the latest fabric trends, pricing, and industry standards.
Maintain documentation and records of sample evaluations, cost analysis, and supplier negotiations.
Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure materials meet quality standards and cost targets.
Work closely with crossfunctional teams to resolve any quality or costrelated issues.
Participate in fabric sourcing and supplier selection processes.
Provide input and recommendations on product development, cost optimization, and quality improvement.

Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Fashion Design, Textiles, Merchandising, or a related field.
Minimum 56 years of experience in garment merchandising or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of textiles, garment construction techniques, and quality standards.
Experience in evaluating garment samples and assessing fabric quality.
Familiarity with pricing strategies and cost analysis in the textile industry.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify quality and costrelated issues.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software for cost analysis.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment.
Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
Knowledge of garment production processes and supply chain management is preferred.
