Gas Suppression Engineer, London and Surrounding Areas

We are seeking a skilled and FGas certified Gas Suppression Engineer to join our fire protection team. The successful candidate will have handson experience with gaseous fire suppression systems, including FM200, Novec, andor Inert gas systems. This role involves the installation, servicing, maintenance, and commissioning of fixed suppression systems across a variety of sites and environments, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.

Your Role as Gas Suppression Engineer

  • Install, service, commission, and maintain gaseous fire suppression systems, specifically FM200, Novec 1230, and Inert gas systems (e.g., IG55, IG541).
  • Conduct system testing, inspections, and leak detection in accordance with BS EN and ISO standards.
  • Work from technical drawings and design schematics to ensure precise installation and system functionality.
  • Provide timely and effective fault diagnosis and repairs.
  • Ensure all works are completed to the highest standards of safety and quality.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including service reports, risk assessments, and commissioning records.
  • Liaise professionally with clients onsite and provide technical advice as required.
  • Stay up to date with current regulations, products, and industry developments.
  • Participate in oncall rota or emergency response duties if required.
    • Requirements

      For this opportunity, we are specifically looking for candidates who offer:

      • Valid FGas certification (Category 1 preferred).
      • Proven experience working with FM200, Novec 1230, or Inert gas systems.
      • Full UK driving licence.
      • Strong understanding of BS 53064, BS EN 15004, and relevant fire protection regulations.
      • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
      • Excellent troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
      • Experience with integrated fire detection and control systems.
      • ECSCSCS card or other site safety certifications.
