Job description

Work Hours: Depends on company, but most companies want at least 2 hours of overlap with U.S. time zones

Note: This role is for placement into our general pool of candidates to match with U.S. companies and not for a specific role. OnlyExperts is a recruiting firm that specializes in finding accountingfinance talent in the Philippines and matching them with U.S. companies.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the company’s accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements and reports, adhering to accounting standards and company policies.
  • Lead the monthend, quarterend, and yearend closing processes, ensuring comprehensive and accurate financial reporting.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance efficiency and safeguard company assets.
  • Oversee tax planning and compliance, ensuring accurate and timely filing of all tax returns.
  • Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities to the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and highperformance culture.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support business operations, strategic planning, and decisionmaking.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline accounting processes and improve overall financial performance.
  • Prepare and present financial analysis, reports, and strategic recommendations to senior management and the board of directors.
    • Requirements

      • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
      • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership roles within accounting, with a background in a large accounting firm preferred.
      • Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulatory requirements.
      • Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and analysis.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
      • Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, Intacct, etc).
      • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
      • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
