Job description

We are looking for a Engineering Manager (Reporting to CTO) for a series B Funded Fintech Platform solving a complex $300+ billion problem.

As an early team member, you will get a chance to set the foundations of our engineering culture. You will help articulate our engineering principles and help set the longterm roadmap.
Making decisions on the evolution of the platform’s technical architecture
Building new features end to end, from talking to customers to writing code
Help your engineers grow their skills and experience
Author project plans for epics
Run agile project management processes
Conduct code reviews, and make technical contributions to product architecture as well as getting involved in solving bugs and delivering small features
Actively seek and hire distributed talent
Conduct managerial interviews for candidates, and train the team to do technical interviews
Contribute to the sense of psychological safety on your team
Generate and implement process improvements
Hold regular 1:1’s with all members of their team
Give regular and clear feedback around the individual’s performance
Foster technical decision making on the team, but make final decisions when necessary
Draft quarterly OKRs and Engineering KPIs
Improve product quality, security, and performance

Requirements:
7+ years of fulltime software engineering experience
Need exp both in backend and frontend
2 years – Nodejs must
Extensive knowledge of any of Python, Go, NodeJS
Good experience of front end technologies
Should be a great people manager, Not necessarily a great coder
Proven experience leading and growing a team of 5+
Experience in hiring strategies and team retention
You’ve run internal programs for growth and learning
Experience in total ownership of a project from design to GTM
Experience building scalable platforms (you’ve owned & built features from start to finish before)
Thorough knowledge of SDLC
Working knowledge of frontend and mobile apps
Expertise on any RDBMS or NoSQL databases
Understanding of messaging systems like RabbitMQ, Kafka and protocols
Understands CICD pipelines
Exposure to cloud providers like AWS, GCP or Azure
Seen extensive scale and understands the evolutionary technical challenges
