Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage air import shipments from pickup to delivery.
  • Arrange bookings with airlines and overseas agents, and prepare necessary documentation.
  • Track flight status and resolve delay issues proactively.
  • Ensure compliance with security and customs regulations while maintaining accurate shipment data.

Job description

This is a remote position.

Schedule:
  • Fulltime (40 hoursweek)
  • Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm, with 1 hour unpaid break
    • Client timezone: EST
      Responsibilities:
      • Coordinate and manage air import shipments from pickup to final delivery

      • Arrange bookings with airlines and overseas agents, and prepare MAWB and HAWB

      • Track flight status and proactively resolve delay issues

      • Prepare and process import documentation (arrival notices, customs entries, delivery orders, etc.)

      • Communicate with airlines, ground handlers, customs brokers, truckers, and customers to ensure smooth cargo flow

      • Ensure compliance with TSA security programs, CBP regulations, and IATA standards

      • Maintain accurate shipment data in the operating system and provide timely updates to clients

      • Coordinate with bonded warehouses for freight breakdown and inspections when needed

      • Issue invoices accurately and manage all related documentation



        • Requirements
          Requirements:
          • Minimum 2 years of experience in air import operations (freight forwarding industry preferred)

          • Strong understanding of U.S. customs clearance procedures, ACE filings, and TSA regulations

          • Experience with logistics software (e.g., CargoWise, Descartes, Magaya, etc.)

          • Familiarity with eAWB processes and airline booking & tracking portals

          • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously

          • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English

          • Proactive problemsolving abilities and attention to detail

          • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment

            • Preferred:
              • IATAFIATA or similar certification

              • Experience handling hazardous materials (DG) and knowledge of related documentation

              • Familiarity with bonded warehouse operations
