Job description

Role Summary:

The Director of Finance plays a crucial role in shaping our company’s financial models to support strategic decisionmaking and drive sustainable growth. Working closely with the CFO, this role executes company strategy while overseeing the daily operations of finance and accounting. This position influences key areas such as pricing strategy, financial planning, accounting processes and capital efficiency, ensuring that financial insights translate into impactful business outcomes.


ResponsibilityTask:

  • Develops and refines key business models, including operating and revenue models, Customer Lifetime Value (CLTV), Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), and various ad hoc models to inform strategic business decisions. Implements sensitivity analysis and scenario planning to assess financial risk and opportunities
  • Leads financial reporting and oversight of the accounting team, audits, ensuring precision and thoroughness in all deliverables. Ensures models align with accounting principles and reporting requirements
  • Manages capital efficiency, pricing strategy, and company budget to optimize returns from financial activities, with a focus on accuracy and comprehensiveness. Develops longterm financial plans including investment strategies and business expansions
  • Enhances team productivity across the organization, ensuring all roles are aligned with effective KPIs that drive profitability and operational efficiency. Tracks and reports on KPIs to measure financial health and operational success
  • Drives assertive, clear communication across departments, from entrylevel employees to executive management, to ensure alignment and efficient decisionmaking. Partners with senior leadership to align financial strategies with company goals
  • Maintains agility and adaptability, responding quickly to dynamic business environments and ensuring fast, accurate delivery of financial insights and reports that supports realtime decisionmaking

      Education and Functional Experience:

      • 10+ years of experience leading finance within the finance industry, such as Financial Services, Wealth Management or Fintech
      • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or related field. CFA andor MBA preferred
      • Highly skilled in building comprehensive financial models (e.g., 3statement, cash flow models) to guide business decisions, with meticulous attention to detail
      • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling tools and software (Excel, SQL and business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI or similar)
      • Experience in or overseeing accounting functions and financial reporting standards
      • Proven track record of success in highgrowth environments, with experience scaling financial operations effectively
      • At least 5 years of handson experience managing assets, with strong capital management skills
      • Experience with financial audit and collateral field exams for managing an AssetBased Lending (ABL) facility preferred
      • Previous experience in a toptier management consulting firm andor a fastpaced, highgrowth company in a director or higher role preferred
