The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
The Finance Director EMEA (m/f/x)* will report directly to the VP Finance International, Medical Surgical, and will be the finance business leader for financial planning and reporting processes. The role will interface with key business leaders, sales and customer operations, sales leaders, and key finance stakeholders (FP&A, portfolio finance, controllers) to provide financial and business partnerships.
As the Finance Director of EMEA Medical Surgical Business, you will make an impact by:
Partnering with business leaders and other internal stakeholders to drive growth and margin expansion
Owning, augmenting, tracking, and updating the financial forecasting cycles for the region, including strategic plan, annual operating plan, quarterly forecasts, and latest estimates
Working with sales leaders, sales operations, marketing to drive our growth goals while delivering financial targets; ensuring strong financial discipline, high forecast accuracy and predictability
Collaborating with internal stakeholders to design, develop, and drive continuous improvement activities to enable us to serve customers more effectively
Developing financial models to highlight revenue and profit growth opportunities and drive resource allocation decisions
Improving efficiency of financial processes and tools through simplification, standardization and automation, leveraging technology and in collaboration with global FP&A and other stakeholders
Leading the Medical Surgical EMEA finance team, providing direct supervision to assigned team members through coaching, training and development; allocating work assignments, reviewing progress in achieving objectives, assessing performance, providing feedback and managing employee compensation
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher
Profound experience working in finance organizations with key understanding of business unit and commercial processes and reporting
Solid experience of financial modeling for international organizations
Solid finance experience within a healthcare industry
Solid leadership experience managing senior level teams
Fluent English skills
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
CPA, CMA or equivalent international certification
Experience in the MedTech Industry
Responsible for Income Statements
Leadership and collaboration skills to engage with business stakeholders and drive alignment on financial assumptions
Ability to lead through others and influence
Pragmatic, results-oriented with a strong bias towards executing with speed, agility, and quality
Experience in a global business setting and understanding of operational and cultural differences due to geography, size, and scope of the organization
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Skills of any European language
Strong analytical skills. Ability to manage and understand complex data and derive simple and actionable recommendations
Record of career progression with increasing levels of responsibility
Outstanding integrity, initiative, creativity, and passion
Travel: May include up to 30% within the EMEA region
