Job Description

As a Senior Software Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our products by designing, implementing, and maintaining robust test automation solutions. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to create scalable testing strategies, mentor junior team members, and ensure smooth releases across global teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Automation Development: Build test utilities using Java, Playwright, and Selenium to support functional and regression testing.
  • Framework Maintenance: Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks, and develop automated tests for new features.
  • Test Execution & Reporting: Execute test plans, collect quality metrics, and report on test execution results.
  • Collaboration: Partner with development teams to design and implement test strategies for new and existing functionality.
  • Troubleshooting Support: Assist engineering teams in identifying, diagnosing, and resolving application and environment issues.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a small team (2–3 QE engineers) in executing manual test plans and delivering automation requirements.
  • AI Testing Expertise: Apply knowledge of AI technologies to both manual and automated testing processes.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

  • Experience: 6+ years in software quality assurance, including Java programming with Selenium, JUnit, and TestNG.
  • Automation Skills: Proven ability to automate tests using Java and front-end testing tools such as Playwright or Selenium.
  • Tool Proficiency: Hands-on with Eclipse, Jenkins, Maven, Git, and related development/testing tools.
  • Testing Techniques: Strong understanding of performance, unit, integration, and automated testing practices.
  • Technical Tools: Familiarity with IDEs, debuggers, build tools, source control, ServiceNow, profilers, and Unix system administration tools.
  • Collaboration Skills: Ability to lead cross-team technical discussions and work effectively across time zones.
  • SDLC Knowledge: Solid understanding of software development life cycle principles and best practices.
