  • Collaborate with front-end developers to connect user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks and bugs to ensure code quality.

Job description

Skills
1. Experience with Ruby on Rails, along with other common libraries such as RSpec and Resque
2. Good understanding of the syntax of Ruby and its nuances
3. Solid understanding of objectoriented programming
4. Good understanding of serverside templating languages
5. Good understanding of serverside CSS preprocessors such as Sass, based on project requirements}}
6. Basic understanding of frontend technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
7. Familiarity with concepts of MVC, Mocking, ORM, and RESTful
8. Able to create database schemas that represent and support business processes
9. Able to implement automated testing platforms and unit tests
10. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools e.g: Git

Responsibilities
1. Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code
2. Integration of data storage solutions
3. Creating backend components.
4. Integration of userfacing elements developed by frontend developers with server side logic
5. Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
6. Help maintain code quality, organization and automatization.
