Job Overview 

We’re seeking a strategic and hands-on Salesforce Development Manager to lead our Salesforce development team and drive innovation across our CRM ecosystem. We’re looking for a candidate who thrives in a player-coach role — equally capable of leading teams and contributing directly to technical execution. This role blends technical leadership, project management, and stakeholder collaboration to ensure our Salesforce platform supports business growth, operational efficiency, and customer success. 

Responsibilities 

  • Manage and mentor a team of Salesforce administrators 

  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement 

  • Architect scalable Salesforce solutions aligned with business goals 

  • Oversee development, customization, and integration of Salesforce applications 

  • Ensure adherence to best practices in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and API integrations 

  • Lead team members from stakeholder management to solution design and release 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, and Finance 

  • Contribute to work sizing, scoping activities, and release planning 

  • Implement robust change management and release processes 

  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with internal and external standards 

  • Conduct code reviews and enforce development standards 

  • Translate business needs into technical solutions 

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on Salesforce capabilities and roadmap 

Requirements  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field 

  • 5+ years of Salesforce development experience, including Apex, Lightning, and integrations 

  • 2+ years in a leadership or managerial role 

  • Proven experience driving hands-on execution in technical Salesforce domains while simultaneously providing strategic direction and people leadership. 

  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform Developer II, Application Architect, or equivalent) 

  • Experience with Salesforce Sales and Service Cloud or Marketing Cloud 

  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices 

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills 

  • Background in B2B enterprise SaaS environments

  • This role is open to US Citizens or permanent residents authorized to work in the United States. Rightworks LLC is unable to offer visa sponsorship.
