Job description

To achieve territory growth targets for specified product portfolio by initiating and
developing key surgeons, nonclinical stakeholders, referral networks and conducting high
impact market development activities.
 To execute strategic sales activities undertaken as part of a Business Planning model.
 Provide surgical coverage, followup support and troubleshooting for Medtronic products,
product and procedure training and education to new and existing centres and leverage
customer contact at key accounts to grow the existing businessaccounts.
 To ensure that the Company’s agreed quality standards are maintained with regard to its
products, procedures, policies, operations and customer contact.
A Day in the Life
Achievement of volume objectives along with achievement of key product objectives for both
primary and secondary numbers.
Ensure right productivity and growth objectives for each member of the team.
Successful launch of new products by right execution and implementation in the assigned area.
Ensuring periodic validation and maintenance of customeraccount data of each sales person.
Maintain Core costumer relationship to ensure continuation of business.
Revenue Responsibility
 Responsible for achieving sales target in terms of product units and revenue and increase
total company market share in assigned territory.
 Support in creating and implementing an annual business plan with quarterly updates.
 Ensure coverage of all accounts on the basis of customer segmentation within territory in
agreement with the manager to maintain optimum level of exposure.
 Maintain and expand existing business and develop new business opportunities.
Business Management
 Seek new customers and formulate and follow up plans for such action as directed by the Sales
Manager.
 Work with existing key accounts to develop and implement strategies to move accounts
towards higher market share.
 Develop Sales strategies and execute same within the Sales Force Effectiveness model.
 Conduct required training for new accounts on all products and work with help surgeons
developing new surgical skills by conducting quality procedure development programs.
 Sell specified therapies to physicians, institutions, payers and other medical staff.

Customer Management
 Provide surgical case coverage, followup support and troubleshooting for all EBD product
portfolio in the assigned Territory.
 Conduct customer inservices for new and existing accounts.
 Develop relationships with physicians and hospital administration staff to ensure both
clinical and nonclinical needs are identified and met.
 Develop ethical, positive longterm customer relationships.
 Satisfy customer complaints in accordance with Medtronic policy and to advise Sales
Manager promptly of any situation beyond scope of authority.
