Job description

The Learning Content Specialist at MJMC, Inc. is responsible for creating and managing content that supports learning, comprehension, and performance across the global manufacturing business. This role involves designing and developing learning content in various formats, including videos, job aids, online courses, webinars, and microlearning modules. The specialist will create multimedia assets, curate and customize pre-built learning content, craft engaging content, adapt content for different audiences and platforms, maintain content quality, ensure content accuracy, support content deployment, and incorporate learner feedback to continuously improve content strategies and materials.

Essential Functions

  • Design and develop learning content across diverse formats, including videos, job aids, online courses, webinars, and microlearning modules.
  • Create multimedia assets, blending written, visual, recorded, and AI-generated materials to support varied learning objectives.
  • Curate and customize pre-built learning content, identifying existing courses and resources within the LMS and tailoring them to meet the needs of specific departments and business initiatives.
  • Craft engaging content such as scripts, assessments, presentations, newsletters, blog posts, and surveys that align with instructional goals.
  • Adapt content for different learning audiences and delivery platforms, ensuring consistency in tone, language, and accessibility.
  • Maintain content quality and integrity, reviewing and updating learning materials in response to feedback or evolving business needs.
  • Ensure content accuracy through collaboration with subject matter experts (SMEs) and alignment with brand and learning standards.
  • Support content deployment, coordinating with Instructional Designers or platform administrators for timely publishing and testing.
  • Incorporate learner feedback and analytics to continuously improve and evolve content strategies and materials.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, instructional design, or organizational development
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in training, communication, adult education, or instructional design
  • Experience with content authoring tools or LMS platforms (e.g., Rise, Storyline, or CMSs) – Demonstrates readiness to curate and publish content in platform-specific environments
  • Proficiency in MS Teams, Office Suite, OneNote, SnagIt, SharePoint
  • Creative thinking and visual literacy
  • Passionate storyteller and self-starter
  • Attention to detail

Compensation/Benefits:

The final compensation offer may vary based on factors such as experience, education, skills, and location.
