Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in the success of a constantly and fastpaced growing company. You will be designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable systems that support the companys financial services, ensuring seamless operations and an excellent user experience. In a competitive and fastpaced industry, this team drives innovation by implementing secure, reliable, and cuttingedge solutions to meet evolving customer needs.

  • Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices.
  • Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle.
  • Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review.
  • Proposes initial technical implementation which supports architectural changes that solve scaling and performance problems.
  • Work with version control using GitHub, conflict resolution, and automation of continuous integration processes.
  • Create and maintain software documentation.
    • Requirements

      • Academic background oriented toward computer science, engineering, or software development disciplines.
      • Experience handson engineering roles.
      • Experience to deal with medium domains with mediumhigh complexity.
      • A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session. management, and best development practices.
      • Knowledge of relational database systems and Object Oriented Programming.
      • Knowledge in Domain Driven Design. Knowing Microservice Architecture is a plus.
      • Ability to work and thrive in a fastpaced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques.
      • Proven ability to design complex distributed applications built for high performance and throughput while being scalable and reliable.
      • Development using Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, Kafka and AWS.
      • Experience with asynchronous programming.
      • Demonstrated experience profiling and performance tuning Java applications, and using monitoring tools for production application monitoring.
      • Practical experience applying AI frameworks in development project.

          • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with crossfunctional teams including Chapters Engineering, Architecture, Infrastructure and Mobile Engineering.

            • IndustrySpecific Knowledge

              It is desirable to have practical familiarity with one or more core financial domains such as lending, payments, credit cards, open finance, fraud prevention, merchant acquiring, or investment services, along with an understanding of their fundamental workflows and business drivers. Experience in how these domains intersect to influence revenue, risk management, and customer satisfaction is highly valued.

              Ideally, candidates will have applied this knowledge to deliver solutions such as loanorigination engines with realtime decisioning; scalable paymentprocessing platforms integrated with core banking systems and thirdparty gateways; secure openfinance interfaces compliant with industry regulations; automated frauddetection pipelines leveraging behavioral analytics; or financial reporting and reconciliation engines for regulatory compliance. The ability to translate complex compliance mandates (e.g., KYCAML, PCIDSS, GDPR) into resilient, highperformance systems without compromising user experience is considered a strong asset.
