The Systems Engineer understands the needs of the automotive customers and translates them into actionable requirements for the functional disciplines e.g. electrical, mechanical, software etc. and validates that the end product meets what the customer expected. The Systems Engineer should be familiar with the S.I.M.I.L.A.R concept of systems engineering.
Key Responsibilities
Work with customer at program initiation to understand the problem space in order to accurately State the problem, analyze the customer requirements. Investigates alternatives, Models the system develops system models as appropriate in order to gain a clear and concise performance and functional perspective, Integrates sub systems into a functioning product, Launches the system to ascertain product functionality and performance, Assess product performance and Reevaluates designs, solutions and data to ensure conclusions.
Develop the system requirements based upon and traced to the customer requirements for mechanical, electrical and software disciplines
Utilize the system architecture provided by the core team to verify that the system requirements are satisfied by the system architecture.
Understand and document customer requirements using ALM tools. Manager and negotiate customer requirements, change requests, and unwritten expectations.
Using Enterprise Architect (EA), documents system architecture in an unambiguous, clear, and understandable way that electrical, mechanical and software engineers know exactly what they have to do in order to meet customer expectations.
Create and maintain project documentation
Lead cross functional requirements reviews
Develop with the support of the customer the system level DFMEA for the product.
Coordinate with manufacturing and software teams to develop interface requirements including EOL and module programming requirements
Key QualificationsRequirements
· 24 Years of relevant experience. Knowledge of product development engineering practices in automotive field
Experience in ADAS and Camera module. SVS, FCM, RVC preferable
Requirements management
Revision control (Configuration management)
Change control
Requirements decomposition planning and reporting (KPI generation)
Test plan development
Test execution planning
Track records of writing good requirements that can be successfully implemented.
Profound technical knowledge of automotive electronics products. Familiar with typical automotive OEM requirements. Can anticipate customer requirements, even if not stated in customer documentation.
Experienced in use of requirements management tools. Familiar with concepts such as baselining, inheritance etc.
Working knowledge of IS026262, hazard, SAE J2464, IEC, NEC, ISO 20G53, and twolevel fault strategies.
