Job Description

This is an individual contributor role within a dynamic and growing team to implement DevOps to automate, deploy and continuously monitor SaaS offerings. We are looking for an individual with experience in infrastructure as code and automated deployments to support our client in accelerating the development of their cloudSaaS offering. To be successful in this role, you must have a real passion for helping and supporting and have the best interests of our clients in mind, as well as the business itself.

THE MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB IS:

• Automate deployments SaaS offerings for both public and private cloud
• Develop scripts to improve visualization of monitoring data to decrease troubleshooting and resolution time
• Ensure security baselines are configured as part of system build processes and security is considered as part of infrastructure as code
• Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
• Continuously monitor (along with other team members) production SaaS instances
• Develop and test operational continuity scenarios in SaaS test and staging environments to improve operational robustness and develop recovery procedures
• Work closely with software architects to collaborate on system improvements that impact and improve customer experience

• Qualifications

  WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Degree qualified or equivalent combination of skills and experience.
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering
  • Strong background in LinuxUnix administration (Windows administration experience is a plus)
  • Strong experience with automationconfiguration management, infrastructure as code tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Terraform or equivalent
  • Strong experience deploying code to AWS – EC2 & Lambda, MS Azure or Google Cloud
  • AWS FoundationPractitioner certifications
  • Good understanding of computer networking, including network security and communications encryption
  • Powershell and Bash scripting experience. Experience with scripting language such as Python, Go, Perl or equivalent

    • PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

      • Good understanding of cloud security solutions in various layers IaaS, PaaS and SaaS

      • Eagerness to challenge the status quo, balanced with a reasonable and methodical approach to effecting change
      • Selfstarting attitude and fearless ascent up the learning curve. Thrives in a distributed workplace environment
      • Good customerfacing skills. Experience in Incident Response and Management.
      • Ability to react quickly and adapt to changes in priorities, circumstances, and direction
      • Experience working in the Broadcast sector isn’t essential but will certainly help you standout
