Rad AI is looking for an experienced contract Technical Writer to tackle a critical backlog of customerfacing documentation. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of simplifying complex topics, producing highquality user guides, and thriving in fastpaced, distributed team environments.

This fully remote contract is expected to be for an initial period of 3 months, with potential for extension based on performance and business needs.

What You’ll Do

• Write, revise, and organize user and customerfacing documentation, including user guides and Help Center articles

• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, plainlanguage instructions tailored for nontechnical users

• Tackle a prioritized backlog of documentation, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and usability

• Collaborate remotely with product, engineering, design, support, and implementation teams to gather details and clarify requirements

• Use content management systems (primarily Zendesk)

• Follow and contribute to established style guides, glossaries, and templates

• Who We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years in a technical writing role, ideally for SaaS or complex software products

  • Demonstrated portfolio of published customerfacing technical documentation (user guides, help articles, etc.)

  • Experience simplifying technical subjects and presenting them in clear, accessible language

  • Familiarity with content management or publication tools such as Zendesk, Notion, or similar

  • Proven track record of effective task prioritization and working to tight deadlines

  • Strong ability to provide and accept constructive feedback to improve documentation

  • Ability to work autonomously and productively in fastpaced, distributed teams

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • It’s great if you also have

    • Experience working on healthcare or radiology software

    • Prior success delivering documentation projects in a contract or freelance capacity

    • Experience maintaining and developing internal content infrastructure such as glossaries, style guides, and reference materials.

    • Knowledge of Notion, Google Docs, or Linear, in addition to Zendesk
