This position requires technical ability to integrate different data sources, highly creative thinking, and analytical prowess.

Description
The Sales Intelligence and Data Analyst supports the performance of all vocational Sales Teams by integrating, transforming, and enriching data from multiple sources in support of sales initiatives, and developing standardized outputs that can be directly leveraged by the sales teams in support of the sales process. They will also work with sales leadership to develop tools and protocols to enable strategic selling during all customer interactions. Sitting at the intersection of technology and sales, this person will work closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Sales, and Marketing professionals.
This position requires someone who can think innovatively, is willing to conduct rapid prototypes and experiments, and is open to doing things differently, while structuring and developing long-term solutions. To be successful, you should have a passion for data, an analytical mindset, and a drive to uncover and transform complex data into actionable insights. Top candidates will also have good written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with technical and business users.
Key responsibilities:
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to identify data needs and new opportunities and translate them into technical solutions. 
  • Develop a deep understanding of the sales and marketing processes, along with the systems that support them. 
  • Collect and ingest sales & marketing related data from various external data sources (via Web Scraping, Flat Files, APIs etc.). Work closely with Data Engineering to support the ingestion of new data sources where needed.  
  • Maintain and continuously enhance the Sales & Marketing Data Lake, ensuring new and derived data sources are accurately catalogued and data quality controls are put in place, continuously performing data matching and enrichment.  Work with our IT and business process teams to ensure all data management and government protocols are followed consistently in these projects
  • Locate and consolidate new email addresses, company URLs and any other relevant data from various external data sources into a single marketing database for all vehicle platforms.  
  • Utilize data wrangling techniques and tools to deliver tailored data sets for Sales and Marketing teams.  
  • Collaborate with Data Science on the design and training of machine learning models. Support development of a scoring model that ranks potential customers based on known interactions and inferred intent.  
  • Collaborate with Sales team in the development of automated customer databases to ensure sales force has relevant data in support of customer interactions as needed.
Requirements
Experience and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., statistics, economics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field).
  • 2+ years of experience in Python for data wrangling and web scraping, including experience with libraries such as pandas, BeautifulSoup, Selenium, etc.
  • 2+ years of experience working with cloud-based storage environments (Azure Data Lake, AWS S3 etc.) 
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, OpenAI APIs) to accelerate development.  
  • Basic knowledge or willingness to learn AI/ML concepts such as natural language processing (NLP), text classification, or lead scoring models; experience with Python libraries like scikit-learn, scapy, etc. would be beneficial. 
  • A basic understanding and a willingness to learn sales and marketing concepts and processes; basic knowledge of Sales and Marketing IT systems (e.g., Zoho CRM, Marketo, ZoomInfo, Google Analytics) and database management (e.g., SQL) is a plus.  
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 
Where will you work? The Sales Intelligence and Data Analyst will be based out of our Birmingham, Alabama location.This position is on-site and does not provide a remote working option.
