About Flint Group

Headquartered in Kansas City and founded in 2019 by industry veterans Collin Hathaway (Chairman) and Trevor Flannigan (CEO), Flint Group is a leading platform providing high-quality HVAC, plumbing, and electrical (“HVAC+”) services to residential customers. Today, Flint is comprised of 15 longstanding, market-leading brands across 13 primary U.S. markets—Seattle, Portland, Phoenix, Houston, Boston, Denver, Kansas City, St. Louis, Detroit, Atlanta, Raleigh Durham, and Philadelphia—and continues to acquire and grow best-in-class local HVAC+ brands.

The HVAC+ residential services industry is valued at ~$150B+, growing at ~5% CAGR, and is largely non-discretionary due to the mission-critical nature of HVAC and plumbing systems. The market is highly fragmented, with over 70% served by independent contractors and small local providers.

Flint’s proven growth model focuses on:

  • Investing in local leadership, facilities, and technology
  • Optimizing business mix and improving lead flow
  • Leveraging economies of scale through purchasing and OEM agreements
  • Sharing best practices across brands
  • Using technology and analytics to track KPIs, gain insights, and drive accountability

What's Included:

  • Competitive Salary commensurate with experience and impact (OTE $145k-$175K) - Base Salary + Bonus
  • 100% Company-Paid Benefits for you and your family – including Health, Dental, and Vision coverage
  • Company-Matched 401(k) to help you plan for the future
  • Flexible PTO to balance work and life
  • Paid Holidays throughout the year
  • Cell Phone Reimbursement for work-related use
  • Ongoing Training & Professional Development opportunities to advance your career
  • Collaborative, High-Performance Culture – work alongside some of the best professionals in the industry

  • Observe, assess, and coach during live service calls, providing immediate feedback and actionable improvement steps.
  • Follow up with individuals post-ride-along to reinforce training concepts, track progress, and promote skill retention.
Group Training Facilitation
  • Lead multi-day, in-person training sessions for groups of sales professionals, technicians, and local managers.
  • Develop engaging training agendas that balance technical skills, customer interaction best practices, and sales techniques.
  • Foster collaboration, peer-to-peer learning, and knowledge sharing during group sessions.
  • Create role-play scenarios and interactive workshops to simulate real-world customer interactions.
Training Program Development & Evaluation
  • Partner with General Managers and local leadership to identify skill gaps and tailor training content accordingly.
  • Leverage Flint’s proprietary training assets and adapt them for both ride-along and group learning environments.
  • Assess training effectiveness through performance metrics, feedback surveys, and follow-up evaluations.
  • Continuously refine training content to reflect industry trends, new service offerings, and evolving customer needs.
Culture & Leadership Development
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with local teams to drive training engagement and adoption.
  • Coach and mentor managers on how to deliver effective on-the-job training to their teams.
  • Support a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and operational excellence.
Playbook Deployment
  • Become a subject matter expert on Flint’s operational playbook.
  • Teach and reinforce playbook standards during ride-alongs and training sessions.
