Job Purpose:

To manage and convert leads generated through the partnership where a remote sales approach is preferred or required.

The Direct Sales Advisor (DSA) plays a critical role in the delivery of Bupa’s international private medical insurance (IPMI) proposition to high net worth and priority banking clients, handling end-to-end sales remotely via phone, video, or digital platforms.

The DSA is responsible for advising potential clients on suitable IPMI plans, supporting onboarding, managing light medical screening, and ensuring seamless handover into ongoing servicing and retention pathways.

How you’ll help us make health happen:

  • Manage inbound referrals from our partner’s relationship managers and Lead Qualifiers where a face-to-face consultation is not preferred or possible.
  • Conduct needs-based consultations remotely with high-net-worth individuals and families to recommend the most appropriate Bupa Global IPMI products.
  • Provide expert guidance through the application process, including pricing, coverage options, and medical screening.
  • Complete all necessary documentation and digital submissions in a timely and compliant manner.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and licensing requirements during all stages of the sales process.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline tracking and customer records in Bupa CRM systems.
  • Collaborate with Sales Support Admins and Underwriting to ensure timely issue of policies.
  • Handover new customers to Private Client Managers for onboarding continuity and relationship retention.
  • Actively contribute to sales targets, performance metrics, and service-level commitments.
  • Provide feedback to the Head of Partnership and Development and Product teams on lead quality, product fit, and process improvements
  • Primarily based in Bupa Global offices or Bupa Hong Kong head office, with flexibility for hybrid or remote working arrangements.

Key Skills/Qualifications needed for this role:

  • Proven experience in telesales or remote sales roles within health insurance, financial services, or other regulated environments.
  • Background in selling to affluent or high net worth clients is highly desirable.
  • Skilled in digital communication platforms and confident managing video or phone consultations with senior clients
  • Strong understanding of international private medical insurance or willingness to acquire technical product knowledge quickly.
  • Experience with CRM platforms and sales pipeline tools
  • Local regulatory accreditation to sell insurance (e.g., Hong Kong Insurance Intermediaries Qualifying Exams II & III) or willingness to obtain.
  • Training in sales ethics, data protection, and customer outcomes (to be provided if not already certified).
  • Fluency in English is essential; Cantonese and/or Mandarin preferred depending on market coverage.
