Medical Sales Account Executive - Atlantic Provinces

Job Description

Develop comprehensive strategies to drive team success and own customer relationships at the provincial and C-Suite level within Atlantic provinces. Act as the main point of contact for Monitoring, Diagnostic Imaging and Image Guided Therapy portfolios and execute strategies at the hospital and department level to ensure team success.

Additionally, you will leverage your business and partnership relationships by researching the account to understand its operating model, business challenges, critical metrics, goals and growth strategy in order to develop a Philips Wide Portfolio solution-based strategy to retain and build toward a fully standardized Philips product portfolio.

Your role:

  • Drive the realization of the Account Strategy and Metrics by communicating to align and drive the team to contribute to development of and to execute on the account strategy. Build a strong internal network and align key players to support the delivery of value to our customers and execute deals.
  • Negotiate and oversee development of contracts for compliance, terms and conditions, renewals and extensions. Analyze account status to understand total account and hospital specific activity leveraging the funnel into larger bulk buy and standardization opportunities.
  • Create and sustain relationships with the provincial health authorities and Corporate-level Executives as the single contact point at Philips and simplify the impact of Philips required activities for the customer. Develop and leverage internal relationships to assist the sales team in deal execution and drive resolution of customer issues.
  • Maximize the customer experience by creating a predictable process of information gathering and exchange to aligning the account team to present a coordinated and efficient One Philips approach to the customer. Ensure a current knowledge of issues in each facility and monitor resolution through the escalation processes. Develop and execute the strategy for new builds and future expansions
  • Solidify the Trusted Advisor Role by providing market insights on industry trends, competitive landscape information, healthcare legislation information that assists the customer in reaching its goals. Identify and build a strong funnel of growth potential by analyzing contract status, standardization plan, evaluating current contracts, products, needs, care gaps, install base, and construction strategies to leverage into deal strategies.  

You're the right fit if:

  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Business or equivalent major with MBA preferred. At least 5 years of progressive sales experience in a high technology medical environment and with hospitals/health authorities operations.
  • Consultative customer approach, with the ability to develop and execute comprehensive, multi-year account strategies across product and service portfolios while maintaining effective relationships with customers. Experience managing complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders (provincial, C-Suite, departmental).
  • Superior communication paired with impeccable interpersonal skills and strong relationship building skills. High energy, strong sense of urgency, self-motivated and results-oriented.
  • Strong knowledge of medical equipment and its applications. Experience navigating procurement processes in healthcare institutions and influencing standardization decisions.
  • Business and Financial acumen with the ability to assess account health, build growth funnels and leverage tools to analyze contracts, standardization potential and construction strategies.

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

This is a Field role covering the Atlantic Provinces of Canada.

Philips Transparency Details

The pay range for this position is $81,200 to $127,600 plus company/fleet car.  The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.    

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
