The HR Project Manager role is a highly visible position within the organization requiring attention to detail while responding quickly to urgent and evolving business needs. The candidate will be required to solicit, acquire, and synthesize information from multiple sources into clear and concise executive level briefings. The candidate must be able to prioritize multiple requests and actions from various levels of management. In this position the candidate will be required to use the utmost discretion and safeguarding of sensitive personnel and business-related information.

 

What You Will Do

  • Execute and facilitate HR engagements, create and maintain structure to enhance HR leadership collaboration.
  • Prepare presentations for critical meetings, develop the people narrative and supporting presentation materials for executive level audiences on all topics that drive the HR function to the forefront of our business.
  • Interface and partner with RTX Corporate and Executive Talent HR team supporting people initiatives across multiple functions to deliver business results.
  • Strategic planning of the RTX Corporate and Executive Talent HR calendar for appropriate engagements.
  • Manage additional multiple, complex, cross functional and business initiatives and lead project management of ad-hoc projects needed by the CVP, Corporate HR & Executive Talent and HR leadership.
  • Liaise with the business units on HR related initiatives for the enterprise.
  • Provide visibility across the HR organization of current HR priorities, projects/initiatives and progress.
  • Lead and execute high-profile engagement events for the function (HR Strategic Reviews, Extended Staff Meetings, etc).
  • Partner with COE leaders on key timelines and initiatives.
  • Lead strategic Transformation initiatives and projects from end-to-end: establishing the project team; setting project milestones; collaborating effectively and successfully managing deliverables.
  • Ensure that the HR organization and project teams correctly interpret, understand and carry out the direction and strategic vision of HR leadership and business leaders.
  • Travel up to 25%

Qualification You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience or Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years experience.
  • Experience with HR best practices, principles and functions. 
  • Experience in managing strategic projects and initiatives, demonstrating cross-functional leadership and strong change management to achieve measurable results.
  • Experience working in a complex matrix environment.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making and quantitative skills.
  • Experience creating and executing change management plans, as well as influencing senior executives.
  • Persuasive communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to tailor communications to a broad range of audiences and prepare executive-ready materials.
  • Proven success in managing strategic projects and initiatives, demonstrating cross-functional leadership and strong change management to achieve measurable results.
  • Demonstrated capability in successfully designing solutions, aligning leadership and managing implementation of best practices.
  • Ability to build trust-based relationships and effectively collaborate across businesses and HR organizations.
  • Comfort with ambiguity as well as strong judgment and ability to make well-informed decisions.

  • Remote; this role will be remote within the domestic U.S (excluding U.S territories).

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
