UMass Global is seeking a dynamic, full-time faculty member to join the School of Business and Professional Studies as an Assistant or Associate Professor of Finance. This 12-month position also carries an academic appointment as Associate Dean, with supplemental administrative pay in recognition of additional leadership responsibilities.

UMass Global’s full-time faculty responsibilities include teaching, mentoring, and service. While research is supported, it is not required. All positions are non-tenure track and are typically hired at the rank of Assistant Professor; higher rank may be considered based on qualifications. Position Overview

The faculty role includes teaching undergraduate and graduate-level finance courses (and potentially general business courses), mentoring students, and managing courses within the finance program. The Associate Dean component involves providing academic leadership, supporting faculty development, and advancing the School’s strategic goals in collaboration with the Dean.

Requirements for the positions are:

  • Terminal degree from an accredited university in Digital Marketing, Marketing, or a closely related discipline.
  • Minimum three years of exemplary online teaching experience in higher education.
  • Minimum three years of experience in online program and course development.
  • Minimum three years experience in the administration of online higher education programs.
  • Experience working effectively with non-traditional and adult learners.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Digital marketing experience, preferably in industry, within a managerial or strategic capacity.
  • Experience in course development and management of both traditional and competency-based models.
  • Familiarity with current trends and best practices in teaching online adult learners writing across the disciplines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Dedication to ongoing professional development in the discipline area.
  • Commitment to uphold institutional policies and guidelines regarding academic integrity, student support, and assessment processes.

Full Time Faculty Responsibilities:

  • Teach and manage courses in the Digital Marketing program, as well as other selected business courses.
  • Mentor and advise students to support academic and professional success.
  • Collaborate with faculty to maintain program quality and relevance.
  • Engage in University and School service activities.

Associate Dean:

  • Lead curriculum development, review, and assessment to maintain program quality and accreditation compliance.
  • Support faculty recruitment, hiring, mentoring, and evaluation.
  • Coordinate course scheduling and enrollment management.
  • Assist in budget planning and allocation of resources.
  • Promote student success through program innovation, advising, and engagement initiatives.
  • Serve as a liaison between the School, University leadership, and external partners.

Compensation:

The hiring range for this position is $89,590 - $105,400 annually. Offers are determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to:  knowledge, skills, years & depth of experience, and equity with internal team members.

This full-time faculty position includes an academic appointment as Associate Dean. In addition to the faculty salary, the Associate Dean role carries an administrative supplemental pay in recognition of the additional leadership and service responsibilities.
