About the Role
We are looking for a detailoriented and dependable Staff Accountant to support the accounting operations of our U.S.based startup clients. In this remote role, you will be responsible for preparing financial reports, maintaining accurate general ledgers, managing daily accounting tasks, and assisting in monthend closings. Your role will be crucial in helping ensure financial accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with U.S. accounting standards (GAAP).
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, At least 8 working hours between 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM US Central Time (8:00 PM to 7:00 AM PHT)
Work Set up: Fully Remote
What you’ll do
Financial Reporting & Analysis
Assist in preparing monthly financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow)
Perform journal entries, reconciliations, and ensure accuracy in general ledger accounts
Process and review accounts payable and receivable transactions
Generate accurate financial reports and analyses for review by clients and senior staff
Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and variance reports
Maintain uptodate records and ensure documentation supports reported balances
Client Support & Ad Hoc Projects
Collaborate with Controllers on incomeexpense projections
Complete reviews of your work and support quality checks for team members
Address client queries and deliver timely updates as needed
Compliance & Documentation
Support compliance with U.S. federal, state, and local accounting regulations
Help ensure that bookkeeping and taxrelated documentation are auditready
Administrative & Internal Coordination
Track time accurately across multiple client accounts
Participate in internal training and team meetings
Perform other businessrelated tasks as assigned by management
