Job Summary:
Independence Pet Group (IPG) is seeking a Accounts Payable Manager who manages accounting operations in one or more functional areas.
Main Responsibilities:
Implements effective operational processes and leads process improvement work groups.
In collaboration with senior leadership, designs, develops, and implements focused functional area strategies for continued growth of the functional area.
Ensures effective workflows, maximizes system efficiencies, monitors quality performance measures, and confirms appropriate completion of work assignments.
Interprets company and government regulations affecting the functional area.
Ensures compliance with all applicable corporate, state, and federal rules, laws, and regulations.
May participate in the budget and goal setting process for the department.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Hiring, training, motivating, and evaluating accounts payable staff members.
Overseeing routine department activities to ensure that they are completed accurately and on time.
Maintaining accurate and complete financial, employee, and client records.
Compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial information to management and government agencies.
Setting and facilitating the achievement of department objectives.
Developing, implementing, improving, and enforcing budgets, policies, and department controls to increase accuracy and efficiency.
Building and maintaining relationships with employees, clients, vendors, and lenders
Basic Qualifications:
Experience: 7 years’ relevant work experience to include leadership
Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, management, or a related field or equivalent work experience (One-year relevant experience is equivalent to one-year college)
Participates in the development of, and may interpret policies, procedures, service standards
and workflows
May serve as the technical, business, and/or analytical liaison with other areas of the organization
Experience with M365
Extensive knowledge of accounting and management principles and accounts payable procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with computers, especially business solutions and bookkeeping software.
Strong planning and problem-solving skills.
Ability to analyze information and processes.
Motivation to develop and maintain internal and external relationships.
Commitment to ethical behavior with a willingness to adhere to all company policies and current financial legislation.
