Position Overview:

 

The following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Enterprise Services Data team:

RTX's Enterprise Data Services (ES-Data) group is seeking a highly motivated, hands-on, data & software engineering thought leader to design and build the next generation of enterprise-wide data platforms for RTX.  You will play a hands-on role in the architecture and engineering of new data platforms, software and DevSecOps tools.

As a member of a cross-functional team of product managers, software & data engineers and designers, you will combine your cloud, software engineering, problem-solving and collaboration skills to solve complex problems in the aerospace and defense industry leveraging best of breed FOSS and COTS technologies.  This role will work closely with RTX business units to challenge the boundaries of what’s possible and drive innovation.

  • Set technology standards and engineering practices across ES-Data
  • Architect cloud, software & data solutions for the Aerospace and Defense industry
  • Optimize for performance and scalability
  • Optimize for quality and reliability
  • Foster an engineering culture
  • Drive engineering best practices
  • Ensure the timely delivery of projects through continuous improvement and agile engineering maturity

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience
  • 10 years hands-on experience and mastery in: cloud architecture and engineering, continuous integration & devsecops tools, and software development and lifecycle management

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
