We’re looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join our GCP/Azure group, working on our flagship products—Elastigroup and Ocean. This is a hands-on development role with a clear path to technical leadership. You’ll help design, build, and scale backend systems that power our cloud optimization platform, while mentoring junior developers and influencing architectural decisions. 

What You’ll Be Doing 

  • Lead the design and development of new product features and backend components, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance. 

  • Drive architectural decisions and influence the technical direction of our cloud-native solutions for GCP and Azure. 

  • Mentor and support developers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team culture. 

  • Champion engineering excellence by promoting clean, maintainable code, robust testing practices, and continuous improvement. 

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, DevOps, and customer-facing teams to deliver impactful solutions spanning multiple locations and timezones. 

  • Own and evolve core infrastructure, working with technologies like MySQL, MongoDB, TigerData DB (formerly Timescale DB), Elasticsearch, Redis, RabbitMQ, and cloud-native services. 

  • Document and communicate technical decisions, contributing to team knowledge and long-term maintainability. 

What We’re Looking For 

  • 5+ years of hands-on backend development experience, with a strong command of at least one modern backend language (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js,, Go). 

  • Proven ability to design and scale distributed systems, with a deep understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and database technologies (SQL/NoSQL). 

  • Cloud-native mindset, with practical experience in AWS, GCP, or Azure and familiarity with Kubernetes and containerized environments. 

  • A track record of technical ownership—from architecture to delivery—and a passion for building clean, maintainable, and well-tested code. 

  • Strong mentorship and collaboration skills, with the ability to guide junior developers and contribute to a high-performing team culture. 

  • Proactive, curious, growth-oriented mindset, with a desire to evolve into a technical leadership role.
