About the Role
Were hiring a Finance & Operations Manager who will own the financial and administrative backbone of our business including: AR, AP, payroll, treasury, and HR ops. You will grow into a Controller role over the next 12–18 months. You’ll report directly to the COOCFO and work closely with our service providers and global team.
This is a role for someone who is comfortable being uncomfortable, thrives on ambiguity, enjoys building structure from scratch, and is eager to operate in a cryptonative, frontier environment.
Responsibilities: Finance & Accounting Operations
Manage accounts payable, vendor onboarding, and fiatcrypto payments
Coordinate accounts receivable and collections
Run and support biweekly payroll for both U.S. and international contractors
Oversee treasury workflows including: cash tracking, wires, and operational wallets
Conduct financial monthly close and reporting
Maintain and reconcile internal financial records (crypto + fiat)
Work closely with the Decentralized Cloud Foundation for crossorganizational efforts
Responsibilities: CryptoNative Finance
Track and document token activity, grants, and distributions
Coordinate with internal teams on ecosystem incentives and rewards
Understand and manage cryptospecific accounting and compliance risks
Work with onchain tools, wallet software, and crypto custody platforms
Responsibilities: People & HR Ops
Partner with our internal HR system (Rippling) for:
Benefits onboarding and renewals
Employment documentation and verification
Compliance and contractor administration
Employee and contractor off boarding
Maintain internal HR documentation
Responsibilities: Process & Systems
Own and optimize workflows across QuickBooks, Rippling, Brex, Crypto Subledger, and other ad hoc systems
Help implement automation and improvements across back office operations
Create process documentation and SOPs for scale and audit readiness
Requirements:
3–6 years of experience in finance, accounting, or operations
Familiarity with crypto finance and operations (wallets, tokens, onchain payments, etc.)
Strong understanding of AR, AP, payroll, and treasury workflows
Experience with tools like QuickBooks Online, Rippling, and Brex
Ability to thrive in ambiguous, fastpaced, and evolving environments
Exceptionally detailoriented and processdriven, with strong documentation skills
Excellent asynchronous communication (we’re a distributed team)
Nice to Have:
CPA or progress toward certification (preferred)
Experience with crypto accounting and tax (e.g., token comp, chain explorers, custody)
Startup or DAO finance ops experience
Familiarity with crypto tax tools
Prior experience scaling systems and finance operations at an early startup or growthstage company
Growth Path:
Within 12–18 months, you’ll:
1. Fully lead our internal monthly close, reporting, and audit prep
2. Formalize internal controls and compliance practices for scale
3. Fully own both fiat and crypto treasury operations
4. Grow into a Controller or Head of Finance Operations role
