Arcetyp LLC is a growing small business that provides a broad range of consulting services to US Federal Government, US Military, and Commercial clients. Services include Management & IT Consulting, Program & Project Management, and Professional & Admin Services.

Arcetyp LLC is looking for a Federal Human Resources Specialist Retirement Specialist. This will be a remote position.


POSITION DUTIES:

  • Support our US Federal client to review, verification, and completion of federal retirement packages.
  • HR Specialist functions as a Retirement Specialists using expertise in federal retirement processes and OPM regulations to work in parallel with government personnel.
  • Goal is to reduce backlog, improve timeliness, and mitigate internal burnout while maintaining high standards of accuracy and customer service.


    • POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Retirement Application Processing:

        • Review and verify retirement packages submitted by IRS Federal Employees.
        • Ensure compliance with OPM guidelines and regulations.
        • Process an estimated 6,500 retirement packages during the base period and 1,000 packages during each option period.
          • Data Verification and Research:
            • Access and verify information in the Electronic Official Personnel File (eOPF), GRB Platform, HRConnect, and Treasury Integrated Management Information System (TIMIS).
            • Confirm retirement service computation dates (RETSCD) and service history.
            • Identify and resolve discrepancies in retirement coverage under RCC and FERCCA.
              • Employee Support:
                • Counsel employees on retirement processes, eligibility, and benefits, including annuities, health benefits, and Thrift Savings Plan (TSP).
                • Provide status updates and respond to employee inquiries via email and telephone.
                • Assist employees with completing and submitting required OPM forms.


                      • Coordination and Communication:
                        • Collaborate with payroll offices and other federal agencies to gather missing information.
                        • Coordinate with OPM for final processing of retirement applications.
                              • Quality Assurance:
                                • Ensure all retirement packages meet OPM standards for accuracy and completeness.
                                • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and adhere to internal review timelines.

                                    • REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

                                      • 7+ years of HR experience including supporting processing of Federal retirement packages.
                                      • Comprehensive understanding of CSRS (Civil Service Retirement System) and FERS (Federal Employees Retirement System) retirement programs, Federal Employee Benefit programs, and applicable laws and regulations.
                                      • At least three years of experience in federal retirement processing.
                                      • Proficiency in using federal retirement systems and platforms including the Online Retirement Application (ORA), Government Retirement & Benefits (GRB) platform, and Electronic Official Personnel File (eOPF) system.

                                        • Min. Citizenship Status Required: U.S Citizenship.
