Position Overview:  

The Assistant Finance Controller plays a key role in maintaining the integrity of financial operations by ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and control. This position supports monthly and annual closings, tax filings, audits, and financial reconciliations, while also contributing to the continuous improvement of financial systems and processes. The role requires close collaboration with internal teams and external partners and is integral to upholding the financial health and transparency of the organization.  You will be part of a diverse international finance team, where clear and effective communication in English is essential.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist with monthly and annual financial closing and reporting activities.

  • Perform reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data and records.

  • Support the preparation and timely submission of various tax declarations.

  • Maintain general ledger entries and monitor financial transactions regularly.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners on financial matters.

  • Provide documentation and support during internal and external audit processes.

  • Contribute to improving financial systems, tools, and reporting efficiency.

Required Qualifications:   

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, possibly supplemented with specific professional training.

  • 3+ years of experience in controlling, financial analysis, or accounting.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong knowledge of Excel and familiarity with working in an ERP system (e.g., Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP);

  

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Familiarity with month-end and year-end closing processes.

  • Affinity with digitalization, automation, or ERP implementation projects.

Working Conditions:

  • The position is open on our Amsterdam office

  • Hybrid office/remote working with 3 days a week onsite.  You can reach the office using the public transport services or by car (we have a free parking reserved to our employees
