Role Name: Medical Receptionist

Schedule: Parttime Monday, Wednesday & Friday 9 AM to 5 PM Saturday 9 AM to 1 PM

Client Timezone: Eastern Time (ESTEDT)


Join a growing startup dental practice in New Jersey as their Medical Receptionist and become an integral part of their patient care team. This exciting opportunity allows you to support a newly established, independentlyowned dental clinic thats scaling up and building their foundation for longterm success. Youll play a crucial role in ensuring seamless patient experiences while working in a dynamic startup environment where your contributions directly impact the practices growth. As a key team member, youll have the flexibility to expand your skills across multiple areas of the business while maintaining the core focus on exceptional patient care and administrative excellence.


Responsibilities:
  • Manage patient onboarding and appointment scheduling through webbased practice management software

  • Handle insurance verification, eligibility checks, and billing processes

  • Answer patient phone calls and provide customer service during business hours (9 AM 6 PM Eastern)

  • Provide phone coverage on clinic closure days to manage patient inquiries and expectations

  • Process patient communications including text messages and insurance card submissions

  • Support marketing initiatives including email campaigns and promotional activities

  • Assist with inventory management and basic accounting tasks

  • Coordinate with onsite staff for seamless patient care delivery

  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations

  • Adapt to various administrative tasks as needed in a startup environment


    • Requirements:
      • 13 years of experience in medicaldental administrative roles

      • Active HIPAA certification or willingness to obtain certification

      • Experience with webbased practice management software and patient scheduling systems

      • Strong customer service and communication skills for patient interactions

      • Ability to work Eastern Time business hours (9 AM 6 PM)

      • Flexibility to handle multiple responsibilities and adapt to changing priorities

      • Experience with insurance verification and billing processes

      • Reliable internet connection (minimum 25 MBPS)

      • Willingness to work in a startup environment with evolving responsibilities

        • Scopes:

          • Primary focus on front office operations with flexibility for additional business support tasks

          • Coverage required during clinic operating days and closure days for patient communication

          • Direct access to practice management software through secure remote worker application

          • Integration with existing internet phone system for patient call management

          • Collaboration with onsite staff as the practice scales and roles become more defined
