Job description

KeenLogic is seeking an IT Management Specialist to join our team supporting one of our government clients. This is a full-time position offering Fortune 500-level benefits including health, dental, vision, PTO, 401(k), and life insurance. This is mainly remote, personnel must be available to periodically attend meetings in McLean, VA. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Must be a U.S. citizen with an active Secret or Top Secret clearance 
  • 2+ years of practical industry, government and/or consulting experience in information technology management 
  • 5+ years of experience in contingency contracting and/or experience in managing/using contingency tools 
  • IT project management experience using various Microsoft tools 
  • Knowledge and experience in managing information technology services and strategies 
  • Technical skill in benchmarking IT services and support for best practices 
  • Proficiency in basic analytical software such as Microsoft Excel and Access, and proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, to include Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint 
Recent, directly related experience in: 
  • DoD enterprise system sustainment, operations, and development 
  • Large-scale configuration management and multi-environment synchronization 
  • System performance optimization and security compliance 
  • Global help desk operations and training delivery 
  • Program/project management in complex, multi-stakeholder environments 

Job Duties: 

  • Provide project management support to the IT organization responsible for implementing and sustaining a robust IT benchmarking capability 
  • Identify critical tasks, manage project meetings, track suspense dates for action items, and prepare executive-level presentations for senior J6 leadership 
  • Perform IT benchmarking pre-assessment visit activities, including participating in and documenting customer interviews, evaluating responses from pre-assessment questionnaires, and developing follow-up questions for interviews 
  • Support Benchmarking Assessment visits by recording comments and feedback during subject matter expert interviews, collecting observations, and generating out-briefing presentations for senior J6 officials 
  • Collect, analyze, and compile final assessment reports that include observations, recommendations, and alternatives for IT best practices 
  • Track the status of assigned actions for both best practices and IT service improvement opportunities, ensuring timely updates and resolution 
  • Develop and deliver IT benchmarking standard operating procedures (SOPs), processes, templates, examples, checklists, tools, and policies for inclusion in the process library to advance the IT benchmarking program 
  • Manage and oversee contingency contracting tools and processes, ensuring compliance with requirements and optimal utilization 
  • Lead or support DoD enterprise system sustainment, operations, and development efforts 
  • Oversee large-scale configuration management and multi-environment synchronization to maintain system integrity and consistency 
  • Optimize system performance while ensuring compliance with security requirements and applicable regulations 
  • Direct and support global help desk operations, ensuring efficient service delivery and resolution of technical issues 
  • Manage and deliver IT-related training programs to diverse audiences, including technical and non-technical staff 
  • Apply program/project management methodologies in complex, multi-stakeholder environments to ensure project success 
  • Utilize Microsoft tools, including Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and other applications to manage data, create reports, and support IT initiatives
