We are seeking a proactive and highly skilled Senior Product Designer to join our team. This role works alongside our technical delivery teams and reports to the Head of Product, supporting our external engagements with partners in both government and industry. You will be key in supporting our growth to becoming an international and recognised organization.
As Senior Product Designer, you will explore and define new production solutions for TWIN, either by supporting the wider efforts of a 0-1 process or as part of a longer-term agile product cycle. You will be working with a team of architects and software developers with experience in blockchain and data space technology in addition to IOTA’s engineering teams and experts. Furthermore, we are growing our external collaboration with governments and industry to integrate our technology and solutions with their IT departments.
Provide Strategic Impact: Act quickly to craft ideas that can blossom into big opportunities. As a sole designer, with both autonomy and responsibility, contributions will have a direct and visible impact on the product and organization. You should also be ready to support multiple product development initiatives with ideation and solutions.
Drive Complex Problem-Solving: Define and solve highly ambiguous or complex design challenges that span multiple product areas or require significant cross-functional collaboration, ensuring solutions align with long-term strategic goals.
Align Senior Stakeholders: Communicate effectively, bridging user needs, technical feasibility and business requirements. Create wireframes and high fidelity user interface designs using your expert Figma skills, or favourite prototyping tools.
Champion Design Excellence: Advocate for and embed best-in-class design practices, usability, and accessibility standards across all products and initiatives, elevating the overall quality bar for the products and the organization.
Identify Research Methods: Work with product owners to help establish product and user research methodologies, gathering valuable quantitative or qualitative insights, then translating findings into improved user experiences.
Support Product Roadmaps: Showcase your visual design craft capability by demonstrating consistent decision-making alongside a high standard of design aesthetic.
Help to Shape Product Vision: Proactively contribute to and shape the product vision by identifying new opportunities and anticipating future user needs and market trends.
Lead definition of new solutions: Own the evolution from initial concepts and wireframes to polished high-fidelity user interface designs, leveraging expert Figma skills or other prototyping tools.
Integrate with Agile Process: Integrate design thinking directly into agile development processes, contributing to longer-term product roadmaps within 2-week sprints.
Enhance Design Process: Help define new guidelines, specifications, frameworks and UI patterns, delivering designs at high standards of usability, accessibility, and visual quality.
Help Mature a Unified Design System: Support the evolution of a design system that provides consistency, scalability, and flexibility across all TWIN platforms and solutions. Take oversight and ownership over the component inclusions.
Establish Foundational Principles: Define, champion, and evolve the core design system principles and governance, ensuring a scalable and sustainable framework for future growth.
Ensure Engineering Alignment: Lead collaborative efforts with engineering to guarantee seamless implementation, ongoing maintenance, and technical excellence of design components within the system. Perform QA over new contributions from internal teams.
Drive Scalability: Lead initiatives to expand the design system's capabilities and integrate emerging technologies. Anticipate future product needs to ensure long-term scalability and adaptability.
Promote Adoption and Education: Develop and execute comprehensive strategies to educate and onboard internal teams on design system usage, fostering widespread adoption and consistent application of best practices across the organization.
