The Raytheon Total Rewards team is looking for a Principal Specialist of Total Rewards.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and manage key components of Total Rewards programs for a designated area, ensuring consistency, compliance, and timely delivery.
  • Conduct market analyses and apply data-driven insights to evaluate compensation and benefits competitiveness.
  • Recommend and implement compensation strategies aligned with organizational needs.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and vendors to ensure successful program delivery within budget and scope.
  • Provide expert guidance to HR professionals, business leaders, and employees on Total Rewards policies and operations.
  • Perform in-depth quantitative and qualitative analyses to drive program effectiveness and process improvement.
  • Oversee data management and reporting to support program delivery and decision-making.
  • Act as a thought leader, influencing Total Rewards policy development.


Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or, an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 year prior relevant experience.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in compensation, including base pay, variable pay, and incentive plan design.
  • Experience in compensation analysis, salary structure development, and market pricing methodology.
  • Experience working with HRIS and compensation management systems (e.g., Workday, SuccessFactors, Oracle, or similar).
  • Experience with FLSA, pay equity laws, and other regulatory requirements affecting compensation.


Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data modeling).
  • Proven ability to interpret and present complex data to executives and non-technical audiences.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced matrixed environment.
  • Certified Compensation professional (CCP) or other WorldatWork certifications.
  • Background in global compensation design and compliance.
  • Expertise in advanced analytics, including statistical modeling, pay equity studies, or predictive workforce analysis.
  • Proven track record of leading enterprise-wide compensation projects or initiatives.
  • Experience integrating compensation programs during mergers, acquisitions, or organizational restructures
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for compensation reporting
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional partners
  • Knowledge of industry-specific compensation trends and competitive market practices

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
