Summary:
Reporting to the Senior Director, Provider Analytics, the Business Solutions Analyst III serves as a strategic partner bridging the business community, product management, and development teams to drive product innovation and operational excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective solutions. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of business operations, particularly within digital healthcare solutions marketplace.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Business Process Mapping:
Evaluate and document current business processes using flowcharts and diagrams to visualize workflows, identifying inefficiencies and areas for improvement
Design and implement optimized processes that enhance efficiency and align with organizational goals
Requirements Gathering and Documentation:
Engage with stakeholders to collect and document business requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of needs and objectives
Develop comprehensive documentation, including Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications, and Use Cases, to guide development teams. Business Requirements and Specifications
Develop, write, and communicate business requirements and functional specifications for the implementation of business solutions
Assist in documenting current business processes and models and provide assistance in business case development through research and data collection
Collaboration with Product Teams:
Work closely with Product Managers and Product Owners to translate business needs into actionable product requirements
Assist in prioritizing features and functionalities based on business value and technical feasibility
Solution Assessment and Validation:
Analyze proposed solutions to ensure they meet business requirements and provide value
Participate in testing and validation processes to confirm that implemented solutions function as intended
Develop and oversee user acceptance testing plans, validating test results to ensure product quality and alignment with business expectations
Stakeholder Communication:
Serve as a liaison between business units and technical teams, facilitating clear and effective communication
Present findings, recommendations, and status updates to stakeholders at various levels
Support Project Management Processes:
Collaborate with Project Managers and Scrum Masters to ensure alignment of project objectives and timelines
Assist in defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables
Act as a primary interface between product and development teams, ensuring seamless communication and alignment on business objectives and technical solutions
Facilitate the translation of business needs into detailed product and technical requirements
Collaborate with process owners to enhance documentation and develop metrics that support continuous process improvement and strategic goals
Agile Methodologies:
Utilize Agile methodologies to manage and execute projects, ensuring responsive and iterative development that aligns with business goals
Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or other related field or equivalent work experience
Typically requires 5-7 years of relevant technical or business work experience
Requires experience/in-depth knowledge of business operations and systems requirements processes
Working knowledge of IIBA principles and practices
Minimum 5 years relevant technical or business work experience
Ability to work collaboratively within a team / group setting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
