Job Description

Working in a team environment, the Power Market Analyst will work to accurately predict and model IGS’s wholesale and retail market costs.

Primary Responsibilities: 


•    Development of models for wholesale and retail cost analysis and prediction
•    Acquire proficiency with Independent System Operator (“ISO”) and utility tariffs
•    ISO settlement validation, reconciliation, and forecasting
•    Tracking and educating the organization and customers on wholesale market changes and risks
•    Manage and update daily, weekly, and monthly cost models
 
Other Responsibilities: 


•    Aid other Power Supply groups with process and reporting development
•    Support reporting for Sales, Billing, Finance, and Accounting 
•    Provide ad hoc analyses for internal customer requests

•    Develop and maintain relationships with external business partners

Required Skills: 


•    High level technical skills, including:

  • Must be able to develop advanced formulas and models in Excel
  • Experience with VBA and/or Power BI
  • A basic understanding of databases/SQL

•    Strong communication skills
•    Ability to successfully execute complex tasks accurately
•    Strong problem solving and analytical ability

Minimum Education and Experience:


•    1 to 2 years of experience working at an ISO, utility, or energy provider preferred.
•    Bachelor’s Degree in Business, with emphasis in Operations, Finance, or other related area of study

Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis. Unfortunately, a current or future need for sponsorship is not supported or available for this position.

Salary Range:

$54,420.00 - $87,070.00

*This range reflects base pay only. Incentive earnings, like commissions or bonuses, are not included.

This role is also eligible for an annual incentive plan based on company performance.
