Job description

ClickUp is revolutionizing the way the world works. As the only all-in-one productivity platform built from day one for true convergence, ClickUp unifies tasks, docs, chat, calendar, enterprise search, and more—supercharged by context-driven AI. While others scramble to bundle fragmented tools or bolt on AI, we anticipated this future and made it our foundation from the start. Headquartered in San Diego with a rapidly expanding global footprint, we empower over three million teams to break free from silos and reclaim their time—saving at least one day every week. Join ClickUp, one of the fastest-growing SaaS companies on the planet, and help millions of users transform the way they work. We’re not just building software. We’re shaping the future of work. Come join us in building the future—together. 🦄

As our Accounts Payable Manager, you will be the backbone of our financial operations, ensuring the integrity and efficiency of our entire procure-to-pay process. You're not just closing the books; you're a strategic leader, a process builder, and a key partner in our global expansion. You will take complete ownership of the AP function, mentoring a high-performing team and implementing systems that can scale with our explosive growth.

The ideal candidate is obsessed with precision, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is excited to build best-in-class processes from the ground up.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead & Mentor: Inspire and manage the Accounts Payable team, fostering a culture of excellence, accuracy, and continuous improvement
  • Own the Process: Take full command of the end-to-end AP cycle, from invoice processing and approvals to global payment runs and expense management (using tools like Ramp or Brex)
  • Scale our Systems: Design, implement, and automate AP procedures and internal controls that will support our company as we scale beyond a $4 billion valuation
  • Be a Strategic Partner: Manage key vendor relationships, resolve complex discrepancies with diplomacy, and collaborate with Procurement, FP&A, and Accounting teams to drive financial alignment
  • Master the Month-End: Own the AP month-end close, including crucial reconciliations and accruals, ensuring our financial reporting is flawless
  • Drive Improvement: Go beyond the day-to-day. You'll constantly seek out opportunities for process automation and efficiency gains, leaving your mark on how we operate

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in an accounts payable function, with at least 2 years of experience managing and developing a team
  • Experience in a high-growth SaaS or technology company is a huge plus
  • Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and the nuances of accrual accounting
  • Expert-level proficiency with a major ERP system (NetSuite preferred) and modern expense platforms
  • A love for problem-solving and an impeccable eye for detail
  • A proactive, "get-it-done" attitude—you’re comfortable with ambiguity and can execute with speed and precision
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
