Senior Pricing Analyst

As a Senior Pricing Analyst, you will be a key individual contributor within our new, centralized Pricing organization, reporting directly to the Director of Pricing Strategy. You will play a crucial role in shaping the monetization strategy across our diverse product portfolio, contributing to our objectives of enabling unit acquisition, optimizing Net Revenue Retention (NRR), and ensuring margin neutrality. You will be instrumental in leveraging a value-based monetization approach, helping to evaluate and define the best usage metrics to accurately meter and capture the value delivered to our customers across SaaS, payments, lending, and Artificial Intelligence offerings. Your analytical rigor, data-driven insights, and collaborative spirit will be key to success in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analytical Support & Development: Conduct in-depth quantitative and qualitative analysis to support the development and refinement of pricing strategies across all BILL Holdings offerings.
• Model & Tool Building: Build, maintain, and enhance sophisticated pricing models, financial forecasts, dashboards, and reporting tools to track performance, forecast impact, and inform decision-making.
• Data Acquisition & Analysis: Independently extract, clean, and analyze large datasets from various sources, including data lakes and internal databases, utilizing SQL and other programming languages.
• Insight Generation: Interpret complex data results, perform rigorous quantitative analysis, and proactively identify strategic pricing opportunities, potential risks, and areas for optimization.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Product, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Engineering, to gather requirements, validate assumptions, support consensus-building, and assist in the implementation of pricing changes.
• Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor pricing performance, conduct post-implementation analysis, and identify areas for optimization and iteration, ensuring alignment with established KPIs.
• Reporting & Communication: Prepare clear, concise, and compelling presentations and reports to communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to various stakeholders.
• Market & Customer Research: Assist in conducting comprehensive market research, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation studies to inform pricing decisions and validate value propositions.
• Industry Awareness: Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging technologies, and current pricing trends within SaaS, FinTech, and AI domains.
• Customer-Centric Approach: Contribute to ensuring pricing strategies align with an end-to-end customer journey perspective, helping to deliver a transparent and excellent customer experience.

We’d love to chat if you have:

• 5 years of progressive experience in pricing, business analytics, data analysis, financial analysis, or a related data-intensive role.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience in the technology sector, particularly with SaaS, payments, or lending business models, is a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with value-based pricing principles and usage-based monetization models.
• Proficiency in SQL is a must for data extraction and manipulation.
• Experience with scripting languages like Python or R for advanced data analysis and statistical modeling is highly desirable.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI) to create impactful dashboards and reports is a plus.
• Strong financial modeling skills.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving: Highly analytical with a structured approach to problem-solving, capable of translating complex data into actionable insights.
• Collaboration & Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
