CareRx is looking for a Pharmacy Technology Implementation & Support Specialist to join our Implementation and Supports team. This role is focused on the deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement of pharmacy technologies across CareRx pharmacies in Western Canada on remote basis. Supported systems include but are not limited to:

  • Pharmacy Automation (PacMed and Rowa Dose)
  • Optical Verification (PacVision and Zius)
  • Digital Pen Technologies
  • Physician Order Scanners
  • Automated Dispensing Cabinets (ADC)
  • Internal Applications (Consultant Tools, Shipment Applications)

Role Accountabilities:

  • Receive and execute direction from the Manager, Pharmacy Technology.
  • Coordinate and manage project schedules, scope, and deployments with technology vendors.
  • Represent Pharmacy Technology in cross-departmental and vendor meetings to align on project goals.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, manage vendor escalations, and oversee resolution tracking.
  • Support ticket management with the Service Centre and collaborate with Business Development on SOPs and best practices.
  • Develop and execute test plans for software updates, and evaluate vendor software against QA standards.
  • Define and enforce software version standards across all Pharmacy Technology systems.
  • Maintain documentation for support and training; ensure service quality meets CareRx expectations.
  • Provide after-hours support, handle confidential information, and travel nationally as required.

What You Will Bring to The Team:

  • Experience with interfaced IT systems and pharmacy environments; strong knowledge of software, hardware, and network infrastructure.
  • Skilled in project coordination, problem-solving, and adapting to fast-paced, multi-system environments.
  • Proficient in MS Excel with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to translate technical issues and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Capable of building vendor relationships and developing/executing QA test plans for systems.

 

Compensation Range: $53,000-55,000/year. Actual pay rate will be based on the individual candidate’s credentials and experience.

Location: This is a remote role, with a preference for candidates residing in British Columbia or Alberta. The position may require occasional on-site visits—approximately once per month—to CareRx pharmacy locations within the candidate’s home province.

Work Shifts: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm with potential on-call based on business requirements.
