SilverSky’s Cyber Security Advisory team consists of dedicated security professionals providing a strategic direction to our customers on the current state of their cyber security program and landscape. SilverSky is looking for a talented, passionate and adaptable individual to assist with our goal of providing valuable security engagements.

As part of SilverSky’s Cyber Security Advisory team, this position will primarily hold responsibility for supporting SilverSky’s consultancy services and our Pentest as a Service (PTaaS) offerings.

This is a remote-first opportunity that may include on-site opportunities in the UK, USA, and APAC.

 

What You'll Be Doing
  • Deliver a wide range of services (dependent on skills and experience) and produce professional reports that stand out from the status quo.
  • Support the delivery of our Cyber Security Program and PTaaS offerings.
  • Work collaboratively and independently to provide professional services to our clients.
  • Assist in team responsibilities such as (but not limited to) scoping, internal quality assurance of documents and client reports.
  • Manage workload, which will consist of managing your pipeline of billed and unbilled projects.
  • Shadow team members to gain exposure and training on broader testing services and skillsets.
  • Conduct or assist with Capability Development projects for the team.
  • Conduct approved research projects with the aim of progressing internal capabilities and/or disclosing reasonably with the vendor.

Additional duties may be assigned as required.

 

What Does it Take to Succeed in This Role
  • Previous experience in cyber security and/or IT.
  • Passionate about any of the following: hacking, cyber security, IT, application development, R&D, OSINT, CTFs.
  • Knowledge of industry standard tools such as BurpSuite, Nessus Professional, NMAP, NetExec, and Metasploit.
  • Pipeline/workload management (clients and projects).
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

In addition to your technical expertise, we expect respect, opinions, and thoughtful input. 

 

What Would Be Great to Have
  • Experience of scoping work.
  • Client-facing experience.
  • Delivered consultant-led services such as Internal and External Infrastructure Assessments, Web/API/Mobile Application Security Assessments, Cloud Security Reviews, Simulated Breach Assessments (VDI, Cloud, Physical Device).
  • Deep knowledge on any of the following: IT, networking, operating systems, applications, programming paradigms, cloud, architecture.
  • Self-sufficient/motivated/inquisitive/problem solver.
