Description

Who are we?

Checkmarx is the leader in application security and ensures that enterprises worldwide can secure their application development from code to cloud. Our consolidated platform and services address the needs of enterprises by improving security and reducing TCO, while simultaneously building trust between AppSec, developers, and CISOs. At Checkmarx, we believe it’s not just about finding risk, but remediating it across the entire application footprint and software supply chain with one seamless process for all relevant stakeholders.

We are honored to serve more than 1,800 customers, which includes 40 percent of all Fortune 100 companies including Siemens, Airbus, SalesForce, Stellantis, Adidas, WalMart and Sanofi.

What are we looking for?

We are seeking a highly strategic, datadriven, and resultsoriented Director of Marketing Operations to lead the vision, infrastructure, and execution that drive marketing performance and operational excellence. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for transforming marketing into a precision engine for scalable growth—empowering better decisions, efficient execution, and measurable business impact.

As a senior member of the marketing leadership team, you will set and execute the Marketing Operations strategy, ensuring alignment across Marketing, Sales, Product, Finance, and Business Intelligence teams. You will manage and grow a highperforming team focused on marketing automation, campaign and email operations, data integrity, and program management. Your work will directly influence how the marketing organization operates globally, working in partnership with Business Operations and Revenue Operations—leveraging smart systems, disciplined processes, and strong analytics at the core.

This role demands a blend of visionary thinking, operational rigor, and handson leadership. You’ll optimize the marketing technology stack, ensure data and process integrity, lead key crossfunctional initiatives, and provide insight into performance at every level. You will also serve as the primary partner for marketing, owning performance and ROI reporting, globally. The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of strategy, systems, data, and execution, and can confidently scale operations that support both today’s marketing goals and tomorrow’s growth.

Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Strategy & Leadership: Define and drive the global Marketing Operations vision and roadmap; act as a strategic advisor to the CMO and senior leadership on planning, performance, and operational scale.
  • Team Development: Build, lead, and mentor a highimpact marketing operations team, including specialists in campaign ops, email marketing, marketing automation (Marketo), and programproject management.
  • Marketing Automation & Execution: Own and optimize the marketing automation infrastructure, email operations, and campaign execution systems to enable seamless, scalable campaign delivery.
  • Data & Analytics: Improve lead scoring models, enhance data quality, and deliver actionable reporting through robust attribution frameworks, customer journey analysis, and fullfunnel visibility. Work closely with BI and Revenue Ops to build dashboards that track marketing performance across dimensions such as persona, geography, and industry.
  • Technology & Vendor Management: Oversee the marketing technology stack in partnership with Business Ops (including HubSpot and 6Sense), ensuring tools are properly configured, integrated, and managed to support marketing scale. Manage vendor relationships and contract negotiations.
  • Process Optimization: Design and document scalable processes for campaign execution, lead flow, and team collaboration. Ensure operational workflows are efficient, repeatable, and supported by clean, reliable data. Continuously seek to simplify systems and eliminate overengineered or redundant processes.

    • Requirements

      • Experience Level: 10+ years of progressive experience in marketing operations, revenue operations, or a related field, with at least 3–5 years in a senior leadership or directorlevel role. Proven track record of leading marketing operations in a highgrowth B2B or SaaS company.
      • Strong knowledge of marketing and sales platforms such as HubSpot and Salesforce.
      • Experience managing and optimizing integrated marketing tech stacks, ensuring tools are wellconfigured and scalable.
      • Advanced understanding of marketing attribution models, and performance reporting.
      • Proven experience working with data teams and ensuring clean data flows across systems for accurate insights.
      • Strong people leadership skills; experienced in building, managing, and mentoring diverse, highperforming teams across functions such as marketing automation, analytics, and campaign ops.
      • Able to influence and align crossfunctional teams including Marketing, Sales, Finance, Product, and BI.
      • Demonstrated ability to design and implement scalable marketing processes and operational frameworks in global, matrixed environments.
      • Experience managing multimilliondollar marketing budgets, including forecasting, cost tracking, and performancetospend alignment.
      • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and a bias for action.
      • Change agent mindset; thrives in fastpaced, evolving environments.

          • Medical, dental, vision, 401(K), and additional incentives.
          • Culture of community and opportunity to work in a growing organization.
