Finance Manager, NPI and Capital Planning

What you can expect

• Work closely with cross-functional teams (including Engineering, Product, Go To Market, and Strategy) to align NPI checkpoints with financial goals and strategic plans.

• Prepare investment proposals for potential NPI projects, detailing initial costs, estimated revenues, expenses, and potential risks.

• Partner with Product and DevOps to build COGS models for NPI.

• Analyze financial performance and provide insights to leadership regarding the financial viability and potential returns of new product investments.

About the Team
Our accounting team provides services to Zoom's global organization. In compliance with the SEC filing requirements for US public corporations and all statutory filing requirements for our international subsidiaries. We prepare and submit the necessary financial statements. Our team’s portfolio includes an
array of different segments from accounts payable to mergers and acquisitions. We also work with our external audit companies to coordinate the Corporate and any Statutory audits.

Responsibilities

• Integrating NPI checkpoints with financial goals and strategic plans by working closely with cross functional teams (including Engineering, Product, Go To Market, and Strategy).

• Preparing investment proposals for potential NPI projects, detailing initial costs, estimated revenues, expenses, and potential risks.

• Building COGS models for NPI in partnership with Product and DevOps.

• Analyzing financial performance and deliver insights to leadership regarding the financial viability and potential returns of new product investments.

• Collaborating with Deal Desk in evaluating deal economics, including gross margin, contribution margin, to ensure deals are financially viable.

• Partnering with the Infrastructure, Engineering, and AI teams on identifying both near-term and longterm cost optimization initiatives.

What we’re looking for

• Demonstrate financial acumen with experience in new product introduction (NPI) and deal profitability analysis.

• Prove track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams, especially Engineering, Product, Go To Market, and Strategy.

• Facilitate in preparing investment proposals and building COGS models.

• Show skills to evaluate financial performance and provide insights on new product investments.

• Collaborate with deal economics, including gross margin and contribution margin calculations.

• Prove to work closely with Deal Desk teams and provide regular cost data updates.

• Understand and implement in cost optimization initiatives, in infrastructure, engineering, or AI domains.

• 7 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s.

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure;  there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations
