Job Description

The Innovation Officer is responsible for leading the innovation program across Aboitiz Foods, driving business and process improvements through ideation, workshops, and employee engagement. The role leads and executes innovation projects within plants and business units, while also building innovation capabilities through coaching, mentoring, and training initiatives.

Innovation Project Management

  • Collaborate with process owners to promote innovation participation and identify impactful projects
  • Support the creation of business cases, including risk and costbenefit analyses, to ensure project viability and success
  • Facilitate access to innovation experimentation funding and oversee the execution of experimentation activities
  • Provide timely updates to stakeholders on project status, including task completion, risk assessments, issues encountered, and proposed solutions
    • Innovation Program Management

      • Assist in identifying innovation opportunities aligned with business objectives
      • Understand business processes and gather requirements from key stakeholders
      • Collect and analyze data related to business or process challenges
      • Recommend appropriate continuous improvement tools and methodologies to ensure project effectiveness
      • Lead the development and implementation of action plans to strengthen innovation management
      • Support the identification of process risks, mitigation strategies, and key performance indicators
      • Collaborate with idea originators to ensure successful implementation, monitoring, and control of innovation projects
      • Lead the evaluation and documentation of project benefits postimplementation
      • Assist in tollgate reviews with project teams, sponsors, and stakeholders
      • Coach and mentor members of the Innovation Task Force and conduct training sessions on the Innovation Program
        • Other Responsibilities

          • Actively participate in company programs and initiatives related to quality improvement, safety and security, sustainability, corporate social responsibility, and risk management
          • Perform other tasks as assigned by the immediate superior
            • Qualifications
              • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, or other Engineeringrelated courses
              • At least 2 years of relevant work experience in program execution and management
              • Preferably with Lean Manufacturing or Lean Six Sigma Certification
              • Process Oriented, Process Thinker
              • Great attention to details
              • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problemsolving skills
              • Has strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and can work effectively and independently in a diverse workforce
              • Very Collaborative and can communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing, at all levels of the organization
