Job description

THE CHALLENGE

Eventbrite has the world’s largest data repository of live events, powering millions of events and hundreds of millions of ticket transactions each year in 170+ countries. The Product Analytics team’s mission is to leverage all this data so we can build a better product to help our Creators better manage and promote their events, support our Attendees to find the perfect event, and grow our business. As we position Eventbrite for continued success, we are looking for a Data Analyst who is a strong collaborator. You will partner with decision-makers, product development teams, and other analysts in your scope to define, measure, and analyze the impact of product features. You will be responsible for communicating data insights to stakeholders and contributing to team roadmaps. You will develop a deep understanding of our Data team's strategy as well as support our Data pillar's strategy.

THE TEAM

Our product analytics team is centralized within the Data Organization, where each analyst partners directly with product development teams and leaders. The team's scope spans multiple user types and business models across the entire breadth of the product. We leverage various data sources to generate novel insights and recommendations that drive impact. We conquer significant problems by putting our heads together, learning, supporting, and mentoring each other to reach greater heights as a team and company.

THE TECH STACK

Our data operations rely on diverse, powerful technologies, including Heap, Statsig, Tableau, and Snowflake. Using Heap, we can seamlessly capture and analyze user interactions, enabling us to uncover invaluable insights into user behavior. Statsig empowers us to conduct feature experimentation and A/B testing with great precision, facilitating data-driven decision-making. With Tableau, we can create visually stunning data representations, which in turn help our teams to comprehend complex data trends better. Finally, Snowflake is critical in our data infrastructure, providing a highly scalable and flexible platform for managing and analyzing our data.

THE ROLE

As a Product Analyst II at Eventbrite, you will play an important role in the Product Analytics team. You will use vast amounts of event data to improve our platform's performance for attendees worldwide. Working closely with Product Managers and Development teams, your analytical skills will come in handy to drive product optimization using A/B testing, SQL querying, and data visualization. Your insights will directly influence team-level strategy and decision-making by validating or challenging assumptions with data. If you love solving problems with data and enjoy working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, this role provides an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact on a global technology company.

YOU WILL
  • Partner with Product Managers and Product Development (Dev) teams (alongside product, engineering, and design), becoming a valued and trusted contributor to their analytical needs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, execute, and analyze A/B tests, providing insights and recommendations to drive product optimization and iteration
  • Leverage SQL, data visualization, and analytical skills to help build the best product we can for our event creators and attendees
  • Define KPIs/dimensions, write SQL queries, and develop Tableau/Heap dashboards to monitor and diagnose product health, ensuring data quality and consistency in your work
  • Transform data into compelling insights and actionable recommendations, shaping your partners' beliefs and enabling them to act with confidence
  • Proactively identify and surface tradeoffs in analysis and project scope, suggesting improvements to help the team make informed decisions
  • Openness to mentorship from Senior Product Analysts to grow analytical skill set
THE SKILL SET
  • Proven ability in SQL to query and join complex data sources, ensuring the consistency and accuracy of your outputs
  • University degree in psychology, data, or a more technical discipline
  • 1-2 years of experience in analytics or technical roles
  • Experience developing data visualization (Excel, BI tools, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of experimentation/A/B testing design and analysis
  • Love and curiosity for digging into the data, finding interesting trends, and sharing stories with data
  • Drive to learn and develop their skills
  • A self-starter attitude; you can navigate ambiguity by seeking clarity, breaking down complex problems, and driving your contributions forward
BONUS POINTS
  • Working knowledge of Python/R/any programming language in Data Analytics topics
  • Experience in a fast-paced technology company
