Job description

Why This Role Exists

We’re hiring a Product Marketing Manager to lead the way we tell our story—from positioning and messaging to launches, competitive insights, and customerfacing content.

You’ll shape how people understand SimpliGov: not just what it does, but why it matters. You’ll help government leaders see what’s possible when they finally ditch the paper and PDFs with a government forms and workflow automation platform.

This is a strategic role, built for a storyteller who can toggle between bigpicture narrative and crisp GTM execution. You’ll work closely with product, marketing, and sales—and serve as the connective tissue that ties product strategy to market reality. You’ll also use AI and agents throughout your work to move faster, think bigger, and do more with less friction.

This is a remote position that reports to the VP of Marketing.

What You’ll Be Doing

Own Positioning and Messaging

  • Take SimpliGov’s product story and turn it into messaging that sticks—with government decisionmakers, buyers, end users and internal audiences
  • Keep everything aligned and accessible across channels: the website, sales materials, emails, ads, webinars, and more
  • Simplify the complex—turning product capabilities into clear value propositions that resonate with government buyers
    • Lead Product GoToMarket

      • Launch new products and features—from internal readiness to external rollout
      • Partner with product and growth to shape what we say, how we say it, and how we activate
      • Build launch materials that actually get used—like internal enablement, launch decks, and customerfacing content
      • Use AI and agents to speed up content creation, personalize messaging across channels, and bring more creativity to every campaign
        • Support Sales with the Right Tools

          • Work with sales and customer success to build what they need to win: onepagers, battlecards, pitch decks, talk tracks, and objection handling guides
          • Keep content fresh, relevant, and easy to use in real conversations
          • Implement AIassisted sales enablement tools to deliver dynamic pitch decks, realtime objection handling, and predictive engagement insights tailored for government stakeholders
            • Know the Market (and Make Sure We Act Like It)

              • Lead customer interviews, winloss analysis, and competitive research to keep us grounded in what our audience needs
              • Maintain feedback loops that inform product direction, messaging, and GTM strategy
              • Be the voice in the room that represents the customer—clearly, confidently, and with insight
                • Bring Structure to the Function

                  • Build and evolve foundational PMM systems—like messaging frameworks, launch templates, and content maps
                  • Be the one who brings clarity to chaos, and momentum to crossfunctional initiatives

                    • You’ll Be a Great Fit If You Have:

                      • 2–3+ years of experience in SaaS B2B or B2G product marketing, including launching features and products at scale
                      • The ability to write strong positioning and messaging that speaks to different personas—especially for complex or technical products
                      • Experience working across gotomarket teams, including product, marketing, and sales, to ensure messaging and launches are aligned
                      • Handson experience using AI tools to speed up or scale content generation, market research, or GTM strategy (not just theory—actual use)
                      • Proven ability to turn product capabilities into valuedriven narratives, whether for sales decks, landing pages, or enablement assets
                      • Confidence leading customer interviews, winloss analysis, or competitor research—and turning those insights into action
                      • Strong project management and crossfunctional communication skills—you keep things moving without getting lost in meetings

                        • Bonus Points If You Have:

                          • Experience in GovTech, workflow automation, or other complex SaaS products designed for regulated or publicsector buyers
                          • Experience with both salesled and productled motions, and ability to tailor messaging and content accordingly
                          • Helped build or scale a PMM function—whether introducing frameworks, building templates, or leading crossteam adoption
                          • You’ve used AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Writer, Crayon, Gong) to support voiceofcustomer research, competitive intel, or adaptive content
                          • Experience creating internal enablement content that actually gets used by sales teams: pitch decks, talk tracks, objection handling
                          • Run product launches that created measurable impact—not just shipped assets
