About Opportunity
The Mainframe Technical Support Specialist will provide Level 2 application support and high-quality customer service for queries, incidents, service requests and application management for the VicRoads RLS Frontline Applications such as Driver Licensing System (DLS), Vehicle Registration and Identification System (VRIS) and associated technologies.
This role involves managing the mainframe set of applications, planning and running of batch processes, managing CICS (Customer Information Control System) services, and managing incidents on these components. The functions include, but not limited to the following:
The successful candidate will engage with our DBA, cloud infrastructure and development teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of our Vehicle Registration and Driver Licensing applications.
The nature of the work will require shift based and after business hours work.
Strong problem-solving, communication, interpersonal skills and attention to detail are essential.
About you
We’re looking for individuals who thrive in a collaborative, dynamic environment more than just putting on headphones and diving into tasks. Our culture emphasizes active participation, where every team member's voice contributes to shaping digital products and delivery outcomes.
You have extensive experience managing IT incidents, requests, problems, changes, and releases in complex corporate environments, preferably in Government or partner organizations.
Your strong technical expertise spans hardware, software, databases, and cloud solutions, with proven troubleshooting skills across on-premises and SaaS environments. You excel at building strong stakeholder relationships and are self-motivated, analytical, proactive, and adaptable.
Demonstrated experience with the following technologies is highly desirable
