About the Role

We’re looking for a hands-on MySQL Administrator to join our infrastructure or platform team. This is a purely operational role, ideal for someone with strong experience in managing MySQL environments at scale. If you're passionate about keeping databases running smoothly and securely—without diving into application-side concerns—this role is for you.

What You’ll Do

Provision, configure, and maintain MySQL databases
Manage and monitor replication setups
Ensure reliable backup and recovery processes
Perform MySQL version upgrades with minimal impact
Contribute to process documentation and operational readiness

What We’re Looking For

Proven hands-on experience with MySQL in production environments
Solid understanding of replication, backups, and upgrade strategies
Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., shell scripting, Ansible) is a plus
No need for application-side skills like schema design or query tuning

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years in an operational DBA role
Experience with Percona, Galera, or cloud-based MySQL services is a plus
Comfort with Linux-based systems and monitoring tools
