Project Planning & Delivery Ownership

  • Own end-to-end delivery of Telecom and Network Functions projects, ensuring alignment to business goals and technical specifications.

  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams delivering solutions in NFV, SDN, 5G, and Cloud-native Network Functions.

  • Apply Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) to drive delivery excellence.

  • Manage detailed project plans, milestones, dependencies, and scope changes.

  • Lead estimation efforts using story points or alternative sizing techniques, specifically for Telco network-related projects.

  • Conduct regular Scrum-of-Scrum meetings, monitor progress, and proactively resolve impediments.

  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Solution Architects, and Telecom SMEs to deliver best-in-class network solutions.

  • Manage risks, issues, and dependencies, especially in complex multi-vendor Telco environments.

  • Act as primary escalation point for internal teams and customer stakeholders.

Stakeholder Management & Governance

  • Build strong relationships with client stakeholders in Telecom Operations, Network Engineering, and IT teams.

  • Define and execute stakeholder communication plans across internal/external teams.

  • Conduct governance forums (weekly, monthly, quarterly) with full transparency on delivery status, risks, and financial health.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-practice teams to align technical roadmaps with delivery milestones.

  • Engage with third-party vendors, network equipment providers, and cloud platform partners to resolve integration issues.

Team Setup & People Management

  • Drive team onboarding, knowledge transfer, and ramp-up plans for Telecom projects.

  • Manage staffing needs, interview candidates, and coordinate hiring for specialized Telco roles (e.g., NFV engineers, OSS/BSS experts, Cloud-native Network engineers).

  • Conduct performance evaluations, identify skill gaps, and recommend relevant Telco-focused trainings.

  • Foster team collaboration, resolve conflicts, and promote a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

Financial & Commercial Management

  • Track project financials, including revenue, resource utilization, and billing.

  • Identify financial optimization opportunities while ensuring high-quality delivery.

  • Collaborate with Engagement Leadership on contract negotiations, change requests, and commercial discussions.

  • Continuous Improvement & Delivery Maturity

  • Conduct post-project reviews to identify process improvements.

  • Implement delivery best practices, including learnings from Telco network transformation engagements.

  • Actively contribute to Material’s repository of tools, frameworks, and accelerators.

Support Business Growth

  • Participate in pre-sales, solutioning, and proposal development for Telco clients.

  • Contribute to creating SoWs, RFP responses, and change order documentation.

How do you know if you are a good fit?
