National Forest Foundation (NFF) is pleased to offer an Exempt, Full-time, 2-Year Term position that will work across the NFF and Forest Service teams to coordinate the analysis of research projects tied to forest recreation users. The insights uncovered through this work will inform marketing and fundraising campaigns aimed at raising critical funds for recreational infrastructure needs across National Forests and will help National Forests better understand users’ recreation habits to help inform future recreation infrastructure and visitor services investments.

Position Function: The Recreation Marketing Data Analyst reports to the Media Relations Manager in strong collaboration with the Senior Director of Conservation, Director of Conservation Finance, and the GIS Program Developer. The incumbent is responsible for running anonymized cellphone data tests to identify recreational forest use trends so that the NFF and partners can develop strategies and campaigns for engaging users to support efforts to improve forest visitor experiences. Additionally, the Recreation Marketing Data Analyst will coordinate a working group consisting of NFF and Forest Service stakeholders with the aim of soliciting feedback on what data is needed and how best to make it actionable.

Location: The location for this position is flexible throughout the lower 48 states. This position is a remote/work-from-home position and requires reliable internet access and a dedicated workspace.
Compensation: The NFF offers competitive compensation and benefits. The starting salary range for this position is $61,000 to $62,700, with the ability to grow to $70,200 and above.
